This means that, in the hypothetical two-model system, it wouldn't be possible to buy, say, a new silver-plated Selmer horn without springing for a Supreme. For my setup it was the most resonant and responsive. I had always expected the V12s to be even more resistant than the blue box. It could certainly be a good horn, but it is past the prime period of the '30s, '40s, and early '50s. It kind of looks like a relac, but the engraving is sharp, so maybe not.
